Warehouse Manager

Full-time position | $60K – $70K/ year | Location: Dallas, USA

We are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Foreman to oversee and coordinate daily warehousing activities, including but not limited to receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and securing goods. Candidates must be motivated, meticulous, and driven to consistently deliver on our values to our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed;
  • Drive an efficient and motivated workforce by providing effective coaching, feedback, and encouragement;
  • Collaborate with internal departments and transportation goods suppliers to facilitate the efficient and timely operation of warehouse activities;  
  • Maintain precise inventory management by conducting routine physical counts alongside warehouse teams and addressing any discrepancies with the inventory system;
  • Ensure a culture of safety by enforcing company and OSHA health and safety standards and adhering to standard operational procedures, as well as regulations regarding the transportation and storage of materials;  
  • Adjust technical resources to current needs to ensure the optimization of warehouse processes;
  • Measure and report KPIs and operational metrics to the Operations Manager on a weekly basis that identify areas for improvement and implement innovative solutions in warehouse processes;
  • Oversee proper circulation of documents related to warehouse operations, including goods receipts, issues and returns.
  • Prepare regular reports on budget, warehouse activities, and forecast future operational needs;
  • Team player willing to help wherever necessary to complete our business objectives
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong communication, interpersonal skill, leadership, and conflict resolution
  • Strong knowledge of modern warehousing practices and methods
  • Critical thinking ability and a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and inventory management software
  • Successful drug screen and background check
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time

Education and/or Experience:

  • 3+ years of combined management experience in Warehousing or Third Party Logistics
  • Experience with LTL freight shipping in a wholesale shipping environment.
  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage a team and foster a positive work environment.
  • Proven track record of managing at least 10 warehouse employees
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Proficient in managing inventory, conducting inventory audits, and performing cycle counts. 
  • Comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations and optimal inventory management practices 
  • Ability to problem solve and adapt to a changing work environment.
  • Team player willing to help wherever necessary to complete our business objectives
  • Capacity to perform effectively in high-pressure situations
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Business or related field (strongly preferred)
  • Understanding of 5S practices is beneficial, but not essential
  • Successful completion of drug screening and background check
